Standing in a flowing dream

“Cherry Blossoms” by Toshi Yoshida

It seems that he gives her so little,
some few words;
beautiful words that just cover the ground,
where she is lying alone waiting for him
with warmth memories
under their loved and delicate tree.

It seems that he only gives her some drops of water,
just to not kill her with thrist;
she is living in an eternal waiting for blossoms,
and he offers few minutes of writing,
a generical card;
and she thinks that she is an attention need.

It seems that he gives her sparks of light – sometimes
and she sees herself on the ground again – alone;
she says “my love”, he says her name;
she says a new start, he says “I am happy”;
– but at the same time –
he says “I can’t”.

She is almost saying again: “goodbye”;
– she is always saying that –
and her life goes by;
her heart says: “look around you, the love is on air”;
she looks and she finds!
is he again under their same cherry blossoms affair.
